Pay Scale: Upper Primary Teacher Pay Scale, Monthly Salary-DA-HRA, Total Salary

Assistant Professor Recruitment

UPPER PRIMARY PAY SCALE: The merit list for the recruitment of teachers in upper primary has been released as per the order of the court.  As a result, 14052 teachers are getting appointed in the state.  Do you know how much the monthly Salary-DA-HRA will come to all these teachers?

Basic monthly salary of upper primary teachers is 33 thousand 400 taka.  Along with this, they will get DA at the rate of 14 percent.  As a result, DA will receive RS 4676, house rent allowance at 12 percent rate will be RS 4008 and medical allowance will be RS 500.  However, professional tax of RS 200 will be deducted from there.  In other words, these teachers will receive RS 42 thousand 384 per month for salary.

A total of 8 thousand 950 candidates are in the merit list.  It is reported that 96 candidates' names have been dropped due to mismatch in educational and caste certificates.  Along with this, the names of 10 candidates have been added to this list, who personally got the judgment of the High Court.  The rest of the candidates are in the waiting list.  As the total number of candidates is 14 thousand 62, so about 5000 people are in the waiting list.  But most of the candidates in this waiting list will get the job, as many of the reserved candidates are occupying seats in two or more categories.

It should be noted that about a decade ago, there was an examination for the appointment of upper primary teachers.  Although the merit list was published, the recruitment process of upper primary teachers (First SLLT, 2016, Upper Primary) was stuck in legal entanglement for a long time due to allegations of corruption.  However, on August 28 this year, the Calcutta High Court had ordered that the merit list of the upper primary teacher recruitment examination should be published within four weeks.  The High Court ordered the names of a total of 14,052 candidates to be included in the merit list.  The merit list was published following the order of the court.
