4660 Vacancy Notification for Sub-Inspector, Constable Posts, Registration Process Start

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB)

Job News: Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released a notification on April 14, 2024, for the recruitment of Sub-Inspector and Constable posts in Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF).  Interested job candidates can apply.  Apply for registration by visiting the official website rpf.indianrailways.gov.in.


The online application process for RPF Recruitment 2024 for Sub-Inspector and Constable has started from 15th April and will end on 14th May, 2024.  A total of 4660 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment process, out of which 4208 posts are reserved for constables and remaining 452 are for sub inspector posts.


Educational qualification


Sub-Inspector: You must have a graduation degree from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India.


Constable: You must have passed 10th standard examination or equivalent examination from a board recognized by the Government of India.


Age limit


Sub-Inspector: Age limit of Sub-Inspector is between 20 to 28 years.  Constable: Constable age limit is between 18 to 28 years.  Reserved candidates will get age relaxation as per government norms.


Selection process


1. Online Computer Based Test (CBT): All candidates will give an online CBT test


2. Shortlisting: Based on the CBT performance of the candidates, a shortlist will be selected.  The number of shortlisted candidates will be 10 times the number of vacancies in each category (Male/Female/Ex-Servicemen).  Selection will be based on merit within each category.


3. Physical Test and Document Verification: Shortlisted Candidates (Except Ex-Servicemen)

Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

Document Verification (DV)


Note: Ex-Servicemen are exempted from Physical Proficiency Test (PET) but must complete Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Document Verification (DV).  If there are not enough eligible candidates after the first round of PET/PMT, additional candidates will be called for the second round based on their CBT qualification in each category.  There will be a maximum of two rounds of PET/PMT for each category.
