Upper Primary Teacher Recruitment
WBSSC: An important case related to the appointment of teachers was heard in Calcutta High Court today. The process of upper primary teacher recruitment has been pending for nine years. On the one hand, the strict attitude of the School Service Commission and on the other hand, the lengthy process of the court, the recruitment process is going backwards. SSC has already released the merit list. The court will give an order on whether the recruitment process will start.

Again the date of hearing was given. The next hearing of this case related to the appointment of upper primary teachers is on September 14.
Since 2014, the recruitment process for higher primary is going on. There are more than 14 thousand vacancies in this recruitment. Officials claim that SSC has already taken several steps regarding the higher primary recruitment process as directed by Calcutta High Court.
It is learned that advocate general and school service commission lawyer Sutanu Patra has asked for some time for counselling. Questions raised regarding recruitment will be answered. As a result counseling will take some more time. In this case, the next date was given on September 14.
