SSC: 14,339 vacancies, 14,052 interviewed, 13,500 in merit list

WBSSC: School Service Commission is going to publish the detailed merit list of more than 14,000 upper primary teacher posts today, Wednesday, following the order of the court.  The list may contain the names of thirteen and a half thousand job aspirants.  After the education minister's announcement in the assembly on Tuesday, the chairman of the commission, Siddharth Majumder, also said this.  He said that the merit list will be published on Wednesday afternoon.  Incidentally, if this merit list is proved to be correct, the court will give permission to start recruitment.  The next hearing is on August 30.


After being blocked for nine years by the court order, the recruitment of teachers in upper primary is finally opening.  14,052 people appeared for the second round of interviews of the School Service Commission for the recruitment of 14,339 posts.  The School Service Commission or SSC will publish the merit list and waiting list for the recruitment of upper primary level teachers in the state.


On behalf of the School Service Commission, Chairman Siddharth Majumdar said that the complete merit list of Upper Primary will be published by 4 pm on Wednesday.  This list will be published in an absolutely accurate manner.  Job aspirants list with break-up number will be published.


School Service Commission's Siddharth Majumdar also said, "The Merit List of Higher Primary will be published as per the court's order. The case will be heard a week later on August 30. We will start counseling only if the court gives permission."
